What Is a Turkish Business Visa?

Individuals with a business visa are allowed to visit Turkey and participate in business activities. To do so, Indian citizens need to apply for a visa ahead of time. Although, as an Indian, you are qualified for the business e-visa provided you have a valid Schengen, US, UK, or Ireland visa or residence permit.

Visa characteristics:

  • Sticker – Maximum stay of 90 days in a 180-day period, with single, double, or multiple entries allowed.
  • E-visa – A single-entry e-visa with a maximum stay of 30 days in a 180-day period.

*If your UK, US, or Ireland permission is also an e-visa, the Turkey business e-visa for Indian people will not be valid.

How To Apply for A Business Visa in Turkey?

In the embassy

  1.       Go to the website of the Turkish diplomatic mission in India for the state where you live.
  2.       Complete the online visa application form (pre-application) found on the website.
  3.       You can select to be forwarded to the appropriate site if you are qualified for an e visa. Otherwise, you can fill out the application form.
  4.       Note the reference number you receive on your email. 
  5.       Make an appointment with the diplomatic embassy in your jurisdiction.
  6.       Print the application form and fill out, stating that your visit is for business purposes.
  7.       Bring the fully signed application form, documentation, and payments to the appointment.

8.        At the mission, submit the application and pay the costs.

At Visa Application Centers (VAC)

  1.       Visit the website of the embassy’s outsourced VAC for the jurisdiction you’re interested in.
  2.       Fill out the application form in capital letters with a blue or black ink pen. Mention the visit’s purpose as ‘business.’
  3.       Schedule an appointment for the application submission.
  4.       Attend the appointment with the application form, documentation, and fees.
  5.       Submit the application and pay the fees.

eVisa

  1.       If you qualify, go to the Turkish Ministry’s e-visa webpage.
  2.       Complete the visa application form.

3.       Pay fees before submission.

Turkey Business Visa Eligibility

  •         You must be residing in India at the time of application submission. If you hold a residence permit in another country, you must apply to the appropriate official there.
  •         You must have a passport that is valid for at least 6 months (after arrival).
  •         Your visit’s only objective must be to engage in business-related activities (tourism is permitted).
  •         You must have adequate means to maintain yourself throughout your stay.
  •         You must be invited by a Turkish firm to conduct business.

·         You must have a valid entrance permit or residency permit for Schengen countries, the United Kingdom, the United States, or Ireland (for eVisa).

Documents Required for a Business Visa in Turkey

  •         Signed and completed application form.
  •         2 photographs.
  •         Travel insurance.
  •         Bank statements as proof of funds.
  •         The Turkish firm’s invitation letter.

If you are asking for a multiple-entry visa, the Turkish firm must say that you and your Indian company have had a long-term partnership.

  •         Employment proof
  •         Round-trip tickets.
  •         House arrangements, and other proof of ‘intend to return’
  •         Covering letter from the Indian firm that is shipping the package.
  •         Valid Schengen/UK/US/Ireland visa or residency permit (for eVisa).

Turkey Business Visa Photo Requirements

  •       35mm x 45mm is a 35mm x 45mm photograph.
  •         Colored
  •         Head must be in the center.
  •         It must not be older than three months.
  •         Background: 80 percent face covering, solid, basic white or grey
  •         Neutral expression
  •         Glasses: Only prescription glasses with a thin frame.
  •         Headgear (exclusively worn for religious purposes).
  •         Facial hair permissible.

Turkey Business Visa Processing Time

The Turkish ‘sticker’ business visa generally takes roughly 12 working days to complete.

The processing time for an e-visa kind of business authorization is normally only 48 hours.          

Following Submission

The business visa application is transmitted to the embassy/consulate for processing. Once your application has been granted, you may pick up your passport from the mission/VAC or have it delivered to you for a fee.

If you filed for a business eVisa, you would get a link through email after your application has been approved.

After Issuance of Visa

Before traveling,

  •         Note the visa’s validity and number of entries and adhere.
  •         Make sure you have all your travel documentation with you.
  •         Carry visa in hardcopy.

On the border,

  •         Display your passport and visa as required.
  •         You may be required to present a copy of the additional documents you submitted with your application.
  •         You may be questioned about the fundamental specifics of your visit.

When you arrive in Turkey,

  •         You are not permitted to engage in any job activity while on a business permit.
  •         If you have a good cause, you can get this visa extended.
  •         While travelling domestically, keep a copy of your passport and visa with you.
  •         During your stay, you must respect and follow the regulations and customs.
