Heritage Village

This restored settlement is home to a medieval fort (originally designed to fend off seaborne attackers), a souk, a mosque, and dhows. The barasti (traditional palm-leaf homes), the ox-drawn well, and the falaj (an old irrigation system that still functions today in Abu Dhabi’s garden city of Al Ain!) may all captivate children. Additionally, artisans showcase their skills here, like glass blowing, weaving, and ceramics, and you might even get a chance to participate.
Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque
To discover more about Emirati religious and cultural practices, visit the majestic Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. It is one of the biggest mosques in the world and the biggest in Abu Dhabi.
